Anyone who has been following us closely knows that our goal is to reduce plastic usage within the beverage industry and promote change. Through our range of unique products, we’re encouraging people to stop buying plastic bottles and make better decisions in their day-to-day lives to help improve the environment. For too long now, there has been a lack of recycling due to inefficient plastic collection systems across the globe and people’s tendencies to litter. Seeing plastic waste degrade in the environment for too many years now has driven us to look for ways to minimize the need for plastic bottles. That’s why we’re launching a brand new reusable, metal water bottle!
Needless to say, the environmental benefits of carrying your own bottle are significant. In the UK, around 38.5 million plastic bottles are used every day. A 500ml plastic bottle is made up of between 10g-20g of PET plastic, meaning that if the UK alone was able to cut its plastic bottle use in half, it could prevent 289 tonnes of plastic more than likely ending up in our environment on a daily basis. In 2018, a study showed that only 36% of people regularly carried their own water bottle. Here at Buddy State, we believe that increasing that number is one of the first steps in reducing our planet’s plastic consumption. That’s why we are eager an excited to introducing this bottle!
Furthermore, it was important to us that we didn’t just offer you, our Buddy State Community, a more environmentally beneficial bottle, but also one that was high quality, durable, and mindfully sourced. That’s why we chose to go with Klean Kanteen who made our bottles using 90% post-consumer recycled 18/8 food grade stainless steel, meaning that our bottles are more sustainable and healthier than others available. Being BPA free, there is also no risk of leaching chemicals from plastic materials that can alter the taste of your drink.
Here at Buddy State, we love enjoying our drinks in a variety of formats whether that’s hot, cold or iced. That’s why providing a vacuum insulated bottle was essential to us. Our bottle has the ability to store hot drinks for fourteen hours, and iced drinks for forty-six! It’s ideal for people wanting the freedom to have whatever drink, whatever way, whenever they want it. We’ve also made sure that there’s an easy way to enjoy your drinks. Our bottles come with a well-designed, leakproof, twist cap lid with a built-in steel straw. By twisting the cap, a convenient rubber spout pops out that means you can enjoy hot drinks without burning your lips.
